The Army in Nigeria on Thursday said it has found one of the schoolgirls abducted by the Militant group Boko Haram in Chibok on April 14, 2014.
The Army in a statement confirming the news said soldiers found the girl during an interrogation of some suspected Boko Haram fighters.
The girl, Rakiya Abubkar was rescued along with her six-month-old baby.
The army said the girl was undergoing medical examination and would be handed over to officials in Borno state.
276 schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram from Chibok in 2014 which sparked global outcry and demand of their rescue.
Some of them have been released in a deal brokered by the International Red Cross. Others also escaped but majority of them are still in captivity.
