The United Nation has announced that thousands of children in north-eastern part of Nigeria could soon die from hunger.
The UN puts the number of children facing such looming crisis at 75,000. These children are all found in areas worst hit by attacks from militant Islamist group Boko Haram.
The coordinator of the UN’s humanitarian unit Peter Lundberg has said that some 14 million people urgently need humanitarian assistance
The UN according to Mr. Lundberg does not have adequate funds to deal with the crisis.
