Ghana has confirmed 25 new cases of coronavirus among persons placed under mandatory quarantine.

That brings the total number of cases in Ghana to 52, signaling a threat of further spread.

Ghana has already recorded two deaths from Coronavirus, a foreigner and a local national are the two patients who died.

The country has already banned public gatherings, closed schools and restricted religious services.

Ghana’s borders have also been shut to human traffic and more stricter measures appear needed to contain the spread of the virus.

Health officials said three main cities, Tema, Accra and Kumasi are now the epicenter of the outbreak in Ghana.

Total number of positive cases in Africa have now reached 1,788 across 43 countries.

The continent has also recorded 58 deaths in 13 Countries with only 184 recovery cases in 11 Countries.
