Ghana is carrying out a major disinfection exercise across the country as it steps up its fight against the spread of coronavirus.
The country has recorded at least 24 cases so far with one death involving a Lebanese national.
On Monday major markets across the country were shut down for the disinfection exercise being coordinated by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
Officials of the ministry said the exercise should improve the hygienic conditions in the markets.

Traders would however be allowed to re-open their shops for business on Tuesday, March 24.

Ghana has so far closed its borders and banned public gatherings as well as closed schools to stop the spread of the virus.
There are indications tougher measures would be taken in the coming day as the spread of the virus continues.
