A Kenyan businessman is reportedly worried after his wife of 26 years left him to be with a pastor that presided over their wedding.

The man and his wife have had five children during the period of their marriage.

John Kanyua is reported by the Daily Monitor to be shocked that “someone who supported them during their young days and even signed their marriage certificate” could take away his wife.

Kanyua from Kiambu County said he may have been blindfolded not to spot the pastor’s admiration of his wife, Leah Wambui.

According to the Daily Monitor reporting the pastor of Joy Springs Church in Juja Farm, made Kanyua’s wife Leah an assistant pastor at the Church.

The pastor’s wife, Agnes Wangivi is quoted as saying that she “strongly objected the appointment, but he was determined to have his way.

I confronted Leah and threatened her not to play games with my husband. She looked innocent, and I gave in.”

Ms Agnes Wangivi has been married to the pastor for 34 years and is mother of three of their children.

Leah’s parents have now asked Mr Kanyua to accept repayment of the dowry he paid to them, to pave way for the new wedding of their daughter to the pastor.

The pastor has also told his children that he was preparing to marry another wife and that he had separated with their mother.
