The Prince is visiting the north African country for two days starting on Sunday. The visit will primarily focus on economic ties between Algeria and Saudi Arabia.
Mohammed bin Salman is expected to meet Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouayhia.
The Prince’s earlier visit to Tunisia last week was met with street protests.
The protesters were joined by journalists and human rights activists who are unhappy with Mohammed bin Salman’s visit on Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is accused of ordering the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
The Washington Post columnist was killed at Riyadh’s consulate in Istanbul, Turkey last month.
The killing of Khashoggi attracted global anger and condemnation. Mohammed Bin Salman and the Saudi Arabia government has denied any role in the journalist’s death.
