Democratic Republic of Congo health officials say death toll from the Ebola disease in eastern part of the country has now reached 164.
Fighting the latest outbreak has been challenging for health officials due to increased violence in parts of the areas worst hit.
The outbreak is much concentrated in Beni, a town in North Kivu near the border with Uganda. The epicentre has now shifted from Mangina to Beni.
The Congolese Health Ministry said in a bulletin on Friday that there is second wave of the deadly virus. It blames it on community resistance to measures aimed at tackling the disease.
The WHO has always maintained that fighting the outbreak has been challenging due to the ongoing militia violence.
Last week the AFP reported that some 1, 000 students marched through the streets of Beni to launch a campaign to fight Ebola.
This is the 10th outbreak being recorded in DRC since Ebola was first detected there in 1976.
The Ebola virus which is transmitted by bats after detection in DRC was named after the Ebola river.
Ebola leads to internal and external bleeding which can cause damage done to blood vessels.
