Ghana is reporting of an outbreak of H5 bird flu in parts of the country.
The agriculture ministry says the highly pathogenic flu has been recorded in poultry farms in the Greater Accra, Eastern and Eastern regions.
Officials said on Friday that over 10,000 birds have so far been killed by the flu across affected farms.
This is the second time this year that Ghana is recording an outbreak of bird flu.
Officials in Ghana say they are implementing measures to prevent further spread of the disease.
Last year more than two million birds died from a similar outbreak in South Africa.
It was the first time the highly pathogenic strain of bird flu was detected in poultry in South Africa.
