South Africa’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday embarked on a health walk to keep his body in shape, days after his swearing in ceremony as the new leader of the Southern African nation.
Ramaphosa who usually engages in early morning walk used the occasion to also preach about healthy lifestyle as he walked from Gugulethu Sports Complex to the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
He was accompanied by hundreds of residents who heeded to his open invitation to join him in the walk.
The President told reporters that he hopes to make the walk a regular event and he joked that his “tummy must fall”.
