A new video has emerged showing some of the Chibok school girls kidnapped by the Militant group, Boko Haram in Nigeria in 2014 still in captivity.
In the video a girl is seen appealing to her parents to convert to the Islam religion saying “This is to you, our parents”.
The girl who was dressed in a blue and white dress with covered face recited prayers in Arabic and then switches to Hausa language.
The girl was surrounded by ten 10 other young women, most of whose faces were seen but their identities yet to be confirmed.
This is the second video Boko Haram is releasing this month to proof how effective it is as a group and not losing its grounds to the Nigerian army.
The group’s leader Abubakar Shekau in an earlier video claimed that his group carried out the various attacks recorded in northeast Nigeria during the festive season last year.
“We are in good health and nothing has happened to us,” Shekau said in a video that lasted for 31 minutes.
He spoke in the Hausa language saying “Nigerian troops, police and those creating mischief against us can’t do anything against us, and you will gain nothing”.
“We carried out the attacks in Maiduguri, in Gamboru, in Damboa. We carried out all these attacks” the Boko Haram leader said.
Of the 276 girls kidnapped in Chibok four years ago, 112 are still missing.
