Police in Kenya are reported to be detaining one of their colleagues who is accused of defiling a 15 year old girl in police cell on Saturday.
Daily Nation reported that the suspect defiled the girl who was been detained at the Gatundu police station after her arrest last Friday.
The OCS Joshua Nyasimu Gatundu cell was quoted by the Daily Nation to have said that the minor had complained that a police constable “had carnal knowledge of her against her will after removing her from cells to do some cleaning within the station”.
The victim is reported to have approached a police officer on Sunday to report her ordeal.
Local media said that the girl was taken to a Hospital for medical check-up and treatment, while the officer in question was arrested and detained at the Gatundu Police Station.
Three months ago another police officer allegedly defiled a 14-year-old girl inside a Police Station cell in Kenya’s Murang’a community.
