Some 142 illegal migrants were evacuated from Libya on Wednesday as part of ongoing efforts to ensure that all stranded African migrants return to their home countries.
The migrants were put on a flight back to Guinea with the support of the U.N. migration agency.
Like many other migrants from other African countries, they are detained in various camps and maltreated.

The African Union (AU) has announced that it has started working together with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to evacuate thousands of African migrants held in detention centers in Libya.
The AU said it is hoping to evacuate about 15,000 of these migrants before the end of this month.
Migrant flows through Libya have surged since 2014 with over 600,000 people crossing the central Mediterranean to Italy in the past three years.
