Somalia is mourning the death of hundreds of people in Saturday’s deadly bomb blast in the country’s capital, Mogadishu.
Officials in the country have now put the number of deaths recorded in the attack at 276 with 300 people reported injured.
There are fears the number of deaths could increase as efforts continue to retrieve bodies in the wreckage.
The blast happened when a lorry packed with explosives detonated near the entrance of a hotel in Mogadishu making it the deadliest terror attack in the country’s history.
No group has yet claimed responsibility although the Militant Islamist group, al-Shabab has carried out similar attacks in the past since 2007 when it started its insurgency.
Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi “Farmajo” said “Today’s horrific attack proves our enemy would stop nothing to cause our people pain and suffering. Let’s unite against terror”
He has called for help to save lives of survivors and called “on our citizens to come out, extend help, donate blood and comfort the bereaved. Let’s get through this together”

Three days of mourning for the victims of the blast has been declared.
