The Football Association of South Africa on Friday agreed to go by the order from Fifa for a World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Senegal to be replayed.
South Africa won the said match 2-1 win in November last year but the result was challenged after replays showed that a penalty awarded South Africa over a hand ball decision was wrong.
The match referee, Ghanaian Joseph Lamptey was banned for life by Fifa for “match manipulation”.
The match is due to be replayed in the November 2017 international window.
SAFA has decided on ethical & moral grounds that if this match was manipulated, we should replay it.

Senegal and South Africa are placed third and fourth respectively in Africa’s Group D behind Burkina Faso and Cape Verde Islands. Only the top team qualify for next year’s finals in Russia.
