Three people have been killed while 29 others have been injured in an overnight grenade attacks in Burundi, according to police officials.
The AP reported that the attacks took place in Burundi’s capital with the Police spokesperson Pierre Nkurikiye saying that the attacks targeted two bars in the Buyenzi quarter of Bujumbura.
The police spokesperson said those responsible are unknown for now.
The attacks were considered very coordinated in a country that is plagued by constant violence.
In April 2015, current President Pierre Nkurunziza announced his intention to seek a third term disputed by many.
This has sparked many violence with hundreds reported dead.
