Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday launched an Economic Recovery and Growth Plan for his country.

The document was launched at a ceremony at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. His Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and other senior government officials were in attendance.

President Buhari said “We’re approaching our economic challenges with the same will & commitment we’re demonstrating in security and the fight against corruption.”

Mr. Buhari is hoping that the successful implementation of the document will be championed by a special group he has created.  “I’ve approved the creation of a dedicated Delivery Unit in the Presidency, to drive implementation,” he added.

Nigeria has been struggling to fix its worsening economic challenges. The recovery plan document was launched by the Nigerian president shortly before a Federal Executive Council meeting.

Mr. Buhari expressed gratitude to his vice, Yemi Osinbajo for overseeing the drafting of the document.

Osinbajo himself has been projecting the qualities of Nigerians by expressing hope that Nigeria will make the needed impact in the digital world in the coming years.

The National Economic Recovery and Growth Plan will be implemented between 2017 and 2020.
