Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari on Friday returned home from London, according to local media reports.
Mr. Buhari traveled to London in January for medical check-up and had to extend his medical leave sparking speculations about his health back in Nigeria.
The 74-year-old leader’s plane landed at an air force base in Kaduna, the northern city of Nigeria due to the closure of the Abuja airport.
According to the PUNCH in Nigeria, Mr. Buhari has already met his Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo and other top government officials.

On Thursday President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the President will return home on March 10.
The short statement said.
“President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to return to the country, Friday, March 10, 2017”
The Statement further said that President Buhari was appreciative of the support of Nigerians, who prayed for him while he was away.
President Buhari on Thursday posted pictures of his meeting with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, in London.

While in London, Mr. Buhari has received several visitors who wished him speedy recovery.
