Ghana and Burkina Faso now lead in terms of countries in West Africa with high number of coronavirus cases.
Burkina Faso as at March 26, 2020 had 146 cases of covid-19 and Ghana followed closely with 132.
In terms of deaths, Burkina Faso now has 4 deaths while Ghana has confirmed 3 deaths so far.
Burkina Faso however has reported of 5 recoveries with Ghana reporting of 1 recovery.
Ghana has closed its borders, banned public gatherings, closed schools and restricted religious activities.

But it appears the country would have to do more to stop the infection rate among its citizens.
It however assures that out of the 132 cases “78 confirmed cases” are “among travelers under mandatory quarantine.”

Burkina Faso has also declared a curfew over the coronavirus outbreak hoping that helps to reduce the spread.
Africa so far has recorded over 2,800 cases with 72 deaths and 210 recoveries.
