The Lagos State Ministry of Health has announced that all those who attended this month’s African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award in Lagos were exposed to Coronavirus infection.
The state health ministry said a patient being treated for coronavirus was at that event and the risk of infection among attendees was high.
In a post on Twitter, the health officials are asking “Attendees at the said event” to “observe strict self- isolation.
They have also been asked to call toll free number “08000 if they notice any of the #COVID19 related symptoms.”

Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards is an annual accolade presented by Multichoice recognizing outstanding achievement in television and film.
The inaugural Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards ceremony was held in Lagos, Lagos State in Nigeria on 9 March 2013.
Meanwhile Nigeria has now confirmed 42 cases of coronavirus with 39 active cases after two persons recovered and one died.
