Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday escaped unhurt when a helicopter he was traveling in crash-landed in the Kabba area of Kogi State.
Local media reports that Osinbajo and other occupants of the aircraft were not hurt in any way and are safe.
Osinbajo’s media aide, Laolu Akande said on Twitter that “VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe.”
The Vice president is said to had continued “with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State.”
Osinbajo himself later on Saturday said “We are extremely grateful to the Lord for preserving our lives from the incident that just happened. Everyone of us is safe and no one is maimed.”
“God has kept us safe and alive, delivered us from death so we can do more for our people & country,” Osinbajo added.

The Nigerian vice president was visiting the Kogi State ahead of this month’s general elections.
In 2018 Osinbajo escaped another air-crash when a chopper that was to convey him from a school in Abuja, was forced to land, few seconds after takeoff.
