Egypt’s striker Mohamed Salah has been named CAF’s African Football Player of the Year for 2018.
He beat fellow Liverpool team mate Sadio Mane and Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the top award for the second year running.
Salah has been in fine form for his country and club in 2018 out-performing his competitors.
He received his award from President of Liberia, George Weah at an Awards ceremony in Senegal.

South Africa’s female footballer, Chrestinah Thembi Kgatlana was named the African Women’s Player of the Year.
Chrestinah helped her country to reach the Women’s African Cup of Nations tournament in Ghana last year.
