Ghanaian officials are outraged at the killing of a 31 year old woman in Toronto, Canada.
The Canadian of Ghanaian descent was murdered last month close to her apartment in Replin and Old Meadow Lane.
A statement from Ghana’s high commission in Canada described the killing of Jenas Nyarko as “gruesome”.
The statement said Ghanaian officials are “shocked and outraged by the unprovoked attack by the unknown assailants”.
Toronto police service published CCTV footage showing the incident.
“At the time of the attack, the deceased was in the company of 3 others who had just returned from a funeral and was about to get out of her car,” the statement said.
Ghanaian officials want “Canadian authorities to do all within their power to arrest the unprovoked assailants and bring them to justice”.
