The former President of Comoros Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi has been put under house arrest haven been questioned over his role in a scheme to sell citizenship.
Investigators considered the scheme riddled with corrupt practice with the interior ministry saying on Saturday that Sambi was under house arrest for trying to incite his supporters.
Sambi is accused of inciting his followers after he was questioned by investigators at his home on Tuesday.
Sambi, and 11 other former senior officials from the previous administration have now been banned from travelling.
Sambi, was in power from 2006 to 2011 and has denied the allegations against him.
