A popular Ghanaian Musician, Wisa Greid has been fined $1880 (GHc 8,400) by a court in Accra for indecent exposure during a musical concert in 2015.
The hiplife artiste, Eugene Ashie has been facing trial for exposing his penis on stage at an event organized by a local radio station Citi FM.
The judge, Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku told the court that there was enough evidence to proof that the artiste displayed his real penis and not a dildo as his lawyer had claimed during the trial.
Wisa’s hit song titled ‘Ekikimi’ in 2015 was very popular securing him several concert invites but he was soon in trouble after video of his performance at the Citi FM concert showing him revealing his penis on stage was circulated on social media.
Justice Adjin Doku had said that the artiste showed remorse for his offence hence the decision to fine him. The musician would be jailed for two years if he fails to pay the fine.
