Oil Giant Exxon Mobil is set to begin oil exploration in Ghana soon officials in the West African country have confirmed.
A petroleum agreement to pave way for the exploration is expected to be signed by the firm with the Ghanaian government and the Ghana National Petroleum Commission in Ghana in the coming days.
Exxon Mobil including Chevron and Shell all applied to the government of Ghana in June 2014 to prospect for oil in the West African nation.
The firm which is the largest publicly traded international oil and gas company, uses technology and innovation to help meet the world’s growing energy needs.
It is an industry-leading inventory of resources and is one of the world’s largest integrated refiners, marketers of petroleum products and chemical manufacturers.
