The Nigerian state of Imo has appointed a minister or commissioner for happiness with the commissioner also taking charge of couples’ fulfillment duties.
The governor for the state, Rochas Okorocha who created the new role also appointed his sister, Ogechi Ololo to occupy the position.
The post was unveiled at the swearing in of 27 other new commissioners for the Imo State.
Mr Okorocha during the swearing in asked all his commissioners to take their new roles seriously to help the regional authorities achieve their “vision”.
Daily Post quoted him as saying that he “shall not tolerate any sharp practice or corruption of any type. Neither shall we accept indolence or laziness.”
There have been reaction to this latest appointment from Nigerians with some mocking the decision.
