Kenyan-born Hollywood star Lupita Nyong’o is the latest to also speak out on her encounter with disgraced Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

The movie producer has been accused by several female actresses of sexually harassing them.

Lupita who recently made her breakthrough in Hollywood said Harvey Weinstein offered to exchange sex for help with her career.

In an op-ed in the New York Times, the 34-year-old, who won an Oscar for her performance in ’12 Years a Slave’ gave detailed account of explicit advances from Mr. Weinstein when she was a student actor at Yale School of Drama.

Lupita in her account said she met the movie producer in 2011 at a movie festival and got invited to his home to allegedly watch a film he just produced.

The actress said 15minutes into the film, Mr Weinstein, allegedly lured her to another part of the house because his young children were around at the time.

“Harvey led me into a bedroom — his bedroom — and announced that he wanted to give me a massage,” Lupita wrote.

“I thought he was joking at first,” according to Lupita. “He was not. For the first time since I met him, I felt unsafe. I panicked a little and thought quickly to offer to give him one instead: I would allow me to be in control physically, to know exactly where his hands were at all times.”

Lupita said “I began to massage his back to buy myself time to figure out how to extricate myself from this undesirable situation.”

The Kenyan born actress continued to write that Mr. Weinstein wanted to take off his trouser but she “told him not to do that and informed him that it would make me extremely uncomfortable.”

Lupita said the incident then ended and she left the home but there were several advances later.

Mr Weinstein has already denied all allegations of sexual harassment saying they were all by consent with his alleged victims.
