The family of a dead man buried with $55,000 to ‘bribe’ God to enter heaven has decided to exhume his body and retrieve the money.

Charles Obong, 52, a civil servant who served in the Ministry of Public Service of Uganda from 2006 to 2016 according to the Zambian Observer asked his family to bury him with the money to enable him redeem his soul when he meets God.

Local media reported that Obong died not long ago after suffering from an illness for a long period of time.

He was buried in a metallic coffin estimated to have cost $5000 and left within his will before dieing a directive asking his wife to put the said money in his coffin to enable him pay God to forgive his sins.

Obong’s family said he planned to negotiate with God to save him from going to hell.

His family and community leaders decided to exhume his body last weekend with the money taken out.
