The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday canceled his first cabinet meeting since returning from his sick leave in London.

A statement from the presidency signed by Mr. Buhari’s special adviser, Femi Adesina said “The meeting of the Federal Executive Council will not hold today.”

The President who has been working from home due to rodent invasion in his office “will however, receive” a “report of the investigation committee into the allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Aye Oke,” the statement added.

The Federal Executive council meeting is a weekly meeting held every Wednesday.

Previous meetings had been chaired by the vice President, Yemi Osinbajo while Mr. Buhari had been absent on his sick leave.

The 74, returned to Nigeria last week Saturday after series of protests asking him to resign due to his health.
