Some members of South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) are reported to have threatened to fish out ANC MPs who voted in favour of a motion to get President Jacob Zuma out of office.
On Tuesday at-least 30 MPs joined the opposition political parties in the country’s national assembly to vote against Mr. Zuma.
According to BuzzSouthAfrica its sources revealed that prominent members of the ANC are bent on ensuring that individuals who defied the party’s order to vote against the motion are identified and punished.

Prior to Tuesday’s voting MPs like Khoza Makhosi, Mondli Gungubele, Pravin Gordhan, Lindiwe Sisulu publicly spoke against the President and called for reforms within the ANC.
These MPs publicly announced that they would vote with their conscience during the no-confidence vote.
The high number of MPs from the ANC who also voted against Mr. Zuma signals that many more secretly fell out with their party.
Zuma survived the opposition’s eighth attempt to get him out of office after winning a no-confidence vote by narrow margin where 177 MPs voted for his removal, 198 voting for him to stay in power while 9 abstained.
Jacob Zuma is expected to appear in the Supreme Court of Appeal on September 14 and 15 over 783 charges of fraud, corruption, and racketeering levelled against him.
