A four-story residential building has collapsed in Nigerian city of Lagos killing at least eight people.
AFP reported that at least 15 people were rescued from the rubble of the building that collapsed on Tuesday.
Officials told local media rescue efforts have now ended.
Kehinde Adebayo with the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency confirmed on Wednesday that investigations will now begin into the actual cause of the collapse.
The number of people residing in the collapsed building is unknown.
Building collapses are common in Nigeria and other countries in the sub-region due to concerns of poor building materials and methods.
