Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari will now be working from his home, according to the country’s Information and Culture ministry.

The minister for Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed told the media at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja that Mr. Buhari will henceforth work from the confines of his home.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that President Buhari was absent at Wednesday’s FEC meeting, the third time the president is absenting himself from such a meeting in a month.

The meeting was presided over by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in the absence of Mr. Buhari.

The information minister further told the media that Mr. Buhari whose health has been a controversial issue in recent times will have all the files sent to him at his official residence at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to enable him to work.

President Buhari’s inability to discharge some of his duties was reported by a reporter with the Punch newspaper who was expelled and later recalled.

Recently Mr. Buhari’s twitter handle posted a video signalling the manner in which the President and his vice have been working.
