Police in Cape Town in South Africa have announced that the search for the Ghanaian United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) associate director who went missing more than a month ago has not been promising.
They have said that there are no more new developments as hope to relocate her appears to be fading.
Charlotte Nana Yaa Nikoi was last seen on March 21 during a walk on the Table Mountain on Human Rights Day.
Extensive ground and aerial search conducted to locate her has not been successful.
A spokesperson for the South African Wilderness Search and Rescue team told local media that aerial rescue services to search the mountain where Nikoi went missing shows no sign of her.

Nikoi’s husband Chris told Eyewitness News that “It’s a horrible thing to go through; I can’t imagine how my kids are even coping with something of this nature.”
Charlotte has been missing for more than 30 days now. A R50,000 ($ 3800) reward is available to anyone who would help the police in finding her.
