Two people have been killed in a two-storey building collapse in Nigeria’s mega city of Lagos on Sunday. The building is located in a police training college.
Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed that the building collapse happened in the Ikeja district of the city.
The zonal coordinator of the South-West National Emergency Management Agency, Yakubu Suleiman said.“There was a partial building collapse as early as 4 a.m. this morning and we were called to attend to it and immediately we swung into action. Two bodies were found dead,”
Spokesperson for the Lagos state police Dolapo Badmus said “Nobody is inside the rubble.”
More than 100 people died this month when a church collapsed in the southeast of Nigeria.
