The president of South Africa Jacob Zuma is unhappy with a leaked audio recording of a meeting he had with the former head of the office of the anti-corruption watchdog, Thuli Madonsela.
Mr. Zuma has filed a complaint with the office of the anti-corruption watchdog over the matter.
The leaked audio of the said discussion between Thuli Madonsela, and Mr. Zuma, had been broadcast by a private television station.
The meeting between the two was at the time Thuli Madonsela was investigating allegations that Mr. Zuma allowed the wealthy Gupta family to influence appointments in his cabinet.
In the report, former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela recommended that Mr. Zuma establish a judicial commission of inquiry within 30 days.
Mr. Zuma is facing a vote of no-confidence debate in the South African parliament on November 10.
He has stated that he isn’t afraid of going to jail as he denies any wrong doing.
