Dutch football player Memphis Depay may not be playing for the country of birth as a professional footballer but his love for Ghana continues to grow.

Depay was born in 1994 in Ghana to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother.

He grew up in the Netherlands as a child and decided to play for the Dutch national team.

For couple of years now, the football star continues to visit Ghana to undertake charity works.

In June he paid another visit to the West African nation and this time round got engaged in more activities.

In central Ghanaian town of Cape Coast he joined students at the Deaf and Dumb School.

The footballer also slept in one of the dormitories to show his love for the country.

Depay said of his recent visit that “The children of Cape Deaf, in Ghana, fill me with pure happiness.

Seeing the way they live with such positive energy is an inspiration and I was blessed to sit in a sign language class with them and learn new things.”

Depay currently plays as a forward for French club Lyon.
