Ten Nigerians have been arrested in Ghana for cyber fraud offences, according to police officials.
A police spokesperson Charles Domanban told Ghana news agency that the suspects were arrested during a police patrol.
Police Patrol team trailed a taxicab the Nigerians were occupying after they looked suspicious.
Charles Domanban said the team followed the taxi to an a-four-bedroom house and on their arrival, other tenants attempted to escape, ‘but they were all quickly rounded up.’
The patrol team, according to the Ghana News Agency intercepted nine laptop computers, six internet modems, five mobile phones and fifty-four SIM cards which they use for their activities.
Many Nigerians reside and work in Ghana, but in recent past some of them have been arrested for similar fraud activities.
Police in Ghana have warned to deal with locals and foreigners engaged in such activities.
