The former first lady of Zimbabwe, Grace Mugabe could face justice when his husband, the former President of the country, Robert Mugabe dies, according to an ally of the 93 year old former leader.
Father Fidelis Mukonori, a Roman Catholic priest who is one of Mugabe’s best friends told America magazine that “I’m sure that people would do justice to her,” when her husband dies.

Grace Mugabe is seen as the person whose quest for power led to the downfall of her husband after she clashed with allies of Mr. Mugabe and leading members of the ruling Zanu PF party.
Current president, Emmerson Mnangagwa was sacked as deputy president during the tenure of the former leader, in an action many say was instigated by the former first lady.
Grace Mugabe has received immunity from prosecution under the deal that led to her husband exiting power but Father Mukonori said the same cannot be said when Robert Mugabe dies.
The former first lady of Zimbabwe has been described by her husband’s family to be disrespectful and a person who created disunity among family members.
Family members of former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe according to a report by Voice of America (VOA) this month said they cut ties with Grace Mugabe over two years ago because of her attitude.
The Mugabe clan claimed Grace has been “disrespectful to family elders, showing off and sowing seeds of disharmony within the family”.
Ben Matibiri, one of Mugabe’s uncles claimed is quoted to have said that Grace belittled everyone in the Mugabe family “as she tried to borrow powers at every opportunity”.
