British royals Meghan and Harry, 34, will christen their baby son at Windsor Castle this weekend.
The Duchess of Sussex Meghan and Prince Harry in May had baby Archie, welcoming him with joy. That was the couple’s first child.
A statement from Buckingham Palace reads ”Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be christened in a small private ceremony by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday 6 July.
”The Duke and Duchess of Sussex look forward to sharing some images taken on the day by photographer Chris Allerton.
”The godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private.”
On Thursday the Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at Wimbledon to support her friend Serena Williams.
The 37-year-old royal has kept a low profile since the birth of her baby son Archie.
Meghan was in the news recently when US President Donald Trump in an interview with the UK’s Sun newspaper referred to her as “nasty”.
But the American president moments after his remarks were published denied saying so despite the comments being recorded on tape.
Markle did not support Trump during the 2016 presidential race. She supported his Democratic challenger, Hillary Clinton and referred to Trump as “divisive” and a “misogynist”.
