Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has thanked Nigerians for praying for him as he continues to stay in London where he is receiving medical checkup.
He wrote on Twitter that “I thanked them for visiting. I’m also grateful to Nigerians, Christians and Muslims alike, for their prayers and kind wishes for my health”.
Mr. Buhari is delaying his return to Nigeria by extending his stay in London after traveling there for vacation on January 19.
He continues to receive several individuals and groups at the Abuja House in London who have been wishing him well.
On Wednesday after receiving such individuals Mr. Buhari said he was grateful for the support from Nigerians.
Last week Muslims and Christians offered special prayers for President Buhari hoping he gets well and returns to Nigeria to resume his duties.
His vice president Yemi Osinbajo has acting as President since Mr. Buhari’s absence.
